French Fridays Edition No. 1

Bienvenue and welcome to French Fridays Edition No. 1. I used to do this series weekly on the blog but stopped for various reasons. Several of you have continued to message me asking if it was ever coming back. I wanted to do things differently this time, so here’s the new version of French Fridays.

French-Inspired Looks Of The Week

If you’ve been reading this blog for any length, you know how much I am inspired by French fashion. I thought it would be fun to start sharing French-inspired looks for the week ahead.

Maybe you already have one or two of these pieces or a similar version in your wardrobe and need some inspiration on how to style them French-inspired, of course.

Petit Plaisir

My French teacher told me this story a few weeks ago about a glass of wine he had over the weekend, and it was such a petit plaisir. We then discussed what that meant, and I loved the meaning of the saying. It’s having a little pleasure or enjoyment out of something, and it can be whatever you want it to be. I thought I would include a Petit Plaisir each week to enjoy.

Petit Plaisir

The weather for the past several weeks has been nothing but rain and grey skies. It was finally nice yesterday and I was able to go outside and take a long walk. I came upon these beautiful Peonies, which put a smile on my face. It’s life’s little pleasures.

On My Paris List

National french library in Paris.

One of the places we are looking forward to visiting next month in Paris is the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Nathan and I walked by this several times last summer and kept saying we were going inside but we never did. Only in Paris can a library look this beautiful.
