Le Charlot Paris
Great café in the Marias with a cool vibe. This is great for an afternoon wine after walking around the Marais. The outside terrace is great for people-watching, but the inside is even cuter.
A French woman told me to go here one day after shopping in her boutique. Told me, it’s where all the chic people hang out.
Chez Janou
A favorite restaurant in the Marais serving Provencal French dishes. This restaurant has become very popular due to social media. You can make a reservation or I recommend going when it first opens if you aren’t able to get a reservation. Order the Chocolate Mousse for dessert.
Carette Café
A pretty cafe that I actually prefer more in the cooler months for hot chocolate. There are two locations but the one in Place des Vosges is better.
Le Carreau
An incredibly charming French bistro located in the 3rd. My French teacher took me here on a recent trip to Paris. It was full of locals at lunchtime which is always a great sign.
This is one of those places you can stay for hours after the meal drinking wine and chatting. The menu is varied, fresh, and local, and also offers vegetarian options. There’s a cute terrace available if the weather is nice.
