Dress Like a French Woman

A Parisian-inspired one-page style guide for effortless, everyday dressing.

French Fridays

I am excited to share a new series with you, French Fridays. This is French Fridays week 11 where I am sharing everything French that I’ve loved the past week in style, food, beauty, finds, and favorite places in Paris to know.

French Style

Girl wearing plaid blazer with black turtleneck, denim, and black boots for a french girl inspired look.

A classic blazer with a belt around the waist is one of my favorite ways to wear a belt. Nobody does this like French women and I have embraced this look tremendously. It’s so simple, everyone owns at least one belt, but it elevates the outfit instantly.

French Recipe

Chicken Paillard is one of my favorite dishes to make at home on a Sunday evening. This one from thekitchn looks amazing and perfect for this weekend. I love how the flavors of the olives, capers, and lemon all come together in this dish. It’s delicious yet still light and filling. I will usually serve it was some greens on the side.

French Finds

My favorite French candle brand, Diptyque, has a new scent for fall and autumn and I am so excited to burn it once it arrives. The smell is Citrouille or pumpkin and I am ready for the house to be nice and cozy with this candle burning in the background.

This time of year I love to splurge on my favorite luxury candles for the fall and autumn and holiday seasons. There’s something special about a favorite smell that adds to the magic of the season.

French Beauty

I tried these Klorane eye patches recently, and they are amazing for dry and tired eyes. They have a cooling gel and are made with cornflower water to help soothe and soften dehydrated and puffy-looking eyes.

The patches are easy to put on and I usually leave them on for about 15 minutes while getting ready. They are free of Silicones, Parabens, and Preservatives. You can put them in the refrigerator for extra cooling ahead of time if you want.

Favorite Places In Paris To Know

With the backdrop of the Louvre and the Tuileries, Brasserie Le CafƩ Marly is a place to go for scenery and ambiance. I love to start the day here with a cup of coffee, baguette, and jam.

It’s a pretty way to see the outside of the Louvre before the hoards of tourists crowd around. There is an inside part to the restaurant but I much prefer the beauty of the terrace outside.

Usually, you can just walk up and be seated but during peak times I would make a reservation, always better to be safe than sorry.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of French Fridays Week 11.
