How to get an inspired look from Adele’s Vogue shoot. Remember this look that we all died over last week after seeing Adele’s Vogue shoot with the plaid blazer and striped top.
Immediately, I started looking for ways to get the exact look or something similar. Here are a few ideas I came up with trying to stay within a reasonable budget.
Why Do We Want This Look
First, the look is extremely timeless and incredibly classic. The entire outfit from the striped shirt, plaid blazer, to the watch are so put together and chic.
The plaid blazer looks very British and perfect for the singer who we aren’t used to seeing in a look like this.
A blazer will always be my go-to wardrobe staple for many reasons, it’s timeless, classic, versatile(goes with anything), and you can keep them for years because they never go out of style.
The striped shirt is also another piece you can have in your closet for years and wear all year long. Layer it under a blazer, jacket, and sweater in the cooler months.
Wear it with a trench or by itself in the warmer months and go for either a skinny or larger stripe.
Adele is wearing a Gucci blazer and Ralph Lauren Stripe top here but these both might not be accessible to everyone.
I certainly am not paying for the Gucci blazer but I still want the look. Here are a few looks that don’t break the bank but still give you that blazer with a stripe top look.
I did include one look without a striped top and swapped in a sweater instead. Some people don’t like mixing and matching prints so I just went with a very neutral sweater from Everlane instead.
How To Get An Inspired Look From Adele’s Vogue Shoot
With this outfit, the J.Crew blazer is in the same color palette but has a different pattern. You can definitely still get the same look with this outfit.
The color scheme is the same with the browns and blue in the striped top. Pair it with skinny denim, boots of a similar color, and a black bag to bring it all together.
This is one entire outfit I could personally see myself wearing and I will be putting these items on my Fall wishlist.

The next outfit has a darker blazer in more of a check pattern and a straight design. This blazer would look great with a striped top in a darker hue such as this Ralph Lauren one here. The jeans are a straight cut and you could wear them with a loafer for a nice polished look. The wool scarf is a nice addition to the outfit for cold days.

For the last outfit, I put the blazer with an alpaca sweater from Everlane in case mixing patterns isn’t your thing. Of course, you could easily wear this blazer with a striped top if you wanted.
You could also wear a darker sweater but I think the lighter one brings out more of the plaid in the blazer. I like the look of lighter denim with this combination plus some black ankle booties.
The Cuyana bag is a perfect color for Fall and Winter and looks very chic with this entire outfit.
