What I Packed for Paris in July

This month, we’re heading to Paris for our annual summer stay, and here’s what I’ll be wearing and packing for July. I always try to pack versatile and timeless pieces that can be easily mixed with each other. Especially for a month-long stay in Paris, I want to ensure that I maximize my wardrobe.

The weather in Paris during July is unpredictable, but it’s usually mild, with temperatures ranging from the 60s in the early mornings to the high 70s or 80s by the end of the month.

It’s a good idea to always pack layers for Paris because one day it can be cool and cloudy. By the next day, it can be warm and sunny, and so you end up hot by the middle of the day.

Tops and Dresses I Packed for Paris in July

With the weather being hot and breezy, I wanted to make sure I had a variety of tops packed. I packed several linens and cotton poplins so I would stay cool and stylish at the same time.

I also packed three dresses, this Cuyana style, which I also own in black. It’s lightweight, packs easily, and is incredibly versatile. You can wear it with ballet flats, strappy sandals, or even a belt around the waist.

Trousers and Denim I Packed for Paris

For the first time, I packed a pair of tailored linen shorts for my trip to Paris in the summer. There have been several days when I’ve already worn the shorts, so I’m thankful I packed them.

Parisians do wear shorts in the summer, especially when the temperature rises above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but they keep them tailored and clean. No short shorts or shorts with holes.

Shoes and Accessories for Paris in July

Since, Paris involves mostly walking, I made sure to pack comfortable and stylish shoes. These are all shoes I have worn before in Paris, so I know they would work for me.

Here’s a packing tip for shoes: Don’t ever pack or take shoes to Paris that you haven’t worn before. The last thing you want is to be walking around with new shoes and end up with blisters.
