One of my favorite moments from the week.

Petit Plaisir
I recreated this wonderful salad I had at a restaurant in Provence this week. When we ate at Café Gaby in Loumarin, I made a note of this incredible salad we had at lunch one day. It was very simple yet so full of flavor. There were a few ingredients I had to substitute and of course the dressing didn’t taste the same, but I still managed to make it work. I used butter lettuce, radishes, small tomatoes, marinated artichoke, shredded carrots, marinated peppers (this was the substitute for marinated banana peppers), and dried cranberries (substituted for currants). For the dressing, I used olive oil I bought in Provence.
On My Paris List
Marcello Italian
There are times in Paris when you crave something else besides French food. Paris is no stranger to catering to diverse palates, and fortunately, it boasts an impressive array of Italian restaurants to choose from.
One place on my list is Marcello, located in Saint Germain. My girlfriend told me about this place after she had an incredible lunch and insisted I add it to my list. She is a foodie, so anyplace she recommends, I immediately add to my list. Besides the food, Marcello has a gorgeous courtyard where you are surrounded by plants, and feel as if you’ve been transported elsewhere.
