French Fridays No. 19 French-Inspired Looks Of The Week
While spring is still a few months away, pieces are starting to arrive in stores. And many of these classic pieces can easily be worn now and into the spring season.
This week’s color palette is shades of blue, cream, and burgundy—rich tones with a hint of feminine textures. I was inspired by a photo I found on my phone of the Dior Galerie last year.
A gorgeous silk scarf can beautifully be worn throughout each outfit combination. This tweed vest reminds me of the Chanel show a few weeks ago.
Suede still dominates in bags and sneakers, even for spring. And this beautiful cream sweater with gold button detail goes with anything.
I also love this gorgeous navy bag from Cuyana. When you want a neutral-looking bag but don’t necessarily want black, try out a navy handbag.

My next trip to Paris is booked for April and I can hardly wait. Paris in the spring is absolutely beautiful. There’s nothing like flowers in the Tuileries and Parisians on terraces. This has been a long winter so welcoming spring in Paris is the perfect way to start.

Louvre couture
The Louvre is holding a special exhibit now Louvre Couture. Art and fashion: statement pieces, which illustrates how historical art, objects, and styles have directly inspired 45 of the world’s preeminent fashion designers and maisons, whose sumptuous creations are displayed across 9,000 square meters of the Department of Decorative Arts galleries.
Designers included in the exhibit range from French icons such as Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy to international houses including Prada, Erdem, and Dries Van Noten.
The exhibit is open now until July 21st, and you can book and buy tickets on the Louvre website.
