Transitional Outfits For Fall
As soon as the weather starts to cool, I think about transitional outfits for Fall I can wear.
Staying with the French fashion philosophy of classic, timeless, and versatile, I like to wear pieces I can easily take from one season to the next.
Having a great foundation of basics always makes it easier to mix in other pieces with what I already own.
Here are 3 transitional outfits that can easily take you into fall and the season ahead.
Transitional Outfit No. 1
White Top–Jeans–Clogs–Leather Bag–Lipstick–Necklace
A great white button-down can take you through any season. I love this version from Alex Mill, with the Peter Pan collar and full sleeves, it’s very Parisian looking to me.
The culotte jeans are so chic and stylish for a new season. You can easily wear these with a great pair of clogs like these from Loeffler Randall, booties, or even flats.
This croc bag is incredibly timeless and can easily be worn now going all the way through winter.
I love adding a bit of color in the fall into my lipstick. A deeper shade to give off that French girl vibe. This is one of my favorite shades from MERIT.
In the Fall a chunky necklace feels more appropriate and I love this simple gold-plated one.
Transitional Outfit No. 2
Lightweight Cardigan–Denim–Leather Tote–Gold Hoops–White Tank-Sneakers
You can use a lightweight cardigan or jacket as a layering piece with a tank underneath. Love this color from Everlane, which could be buttoned up or left open.
Worn with some dark denim jeans from Frame, white sneakers like VEJA, and a black leather tote. My favorite at the moment is the new tote from Cuyana.
Transitional Outfit No.3
Poplin Shirt–Denim–Ballet Flats–Leather Bag–Gold Bangle–Diamond Studs
You can definitely still wear white or ecru denim into the Fall. I tend to like ecru denim like these Everlane ones versus a bright white for Fall.
Wear the denim with a neutral-colored top like this ruffle version from Alex Mill, and a pair of Loeffler Randall ballet flats, I love the strap detail of these.
A classic leather bag always helps to polish the outfit off with a gold cuff, my favorite from Jane Win, and small diamond studs.
